09 - First weeks

Your first weeks

Here's roughly how the start of your time on site will look.

  1. Day 0 - Arrival

    • Site management arranges your airport pick-up and transport to camp.
    • Your room is ready and furnished.
    • Your PPE is pre-sized and waiting.
    • A buddy meets you.

  2. Week 1

    • Safety induction.
    • PPE issue and fit check.
    • Camp tour - mess, laundry, commissary, recreation.
    • Meet your team and department head.

  3. Weeks 2–4

    • Settle into the daily rhythm.
    • Informal cultural chat with your buddy.
    • Your first mention in the quarterly staff newsletter.

  4. Day 30 / 60 / 90

    • Short check-ins on how settling in is going - and what would make it easier.
